Greet Desal
°1971, Meulebeke, Belgium.
Lives and works in Tielt, Belgium.
Greet Desal’s artistic practice centers around the complex nature of human existence, which she captures with remarkable virtuosity. Gaining insight into her own being and exploring the often tense relationship between humans, their environment, nature, and animals serves as a constant source of inspiration for her.
Through the act of creating, she constructs a kind of mirror in which she can explore and come to understand herself. Continuously testing the limits of what is possible, her technical ingenuity combined with her boundless sculptural talent never fails to astonish the viewer. She is a visual storyteller who creates art with a message; drawing from her own emotions, she offers us a glimpse into our own fears and desires.
