Rosana Antolí

Rosana Antolí is a multidisciplinary artist and performance director whose work spans performance, painting, installation, and sound. Focusing on ecofeminist and posthuman themes with water as a central connector, she employs multiple narratives to deconstruct concepts of identity and the body. Her practice weaves together mythology, porous systems, and speculative futures, resulting n immersive and interdisciplinary explorations.

Antolí ‘s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide, having been commissioned by: St Albans Museum (UK. 2022), CAAM Museum (ES.2021), Tate Modern Museum (UK. 2019), CentroCentro Cibeles Palace (ES. 2020), Pompidou Museum (ES. 2018), Da2 Museum (ES. 2017), Artium Vitoria Museum (ES. 2017), BBVA Foundation (ES. 2016), Joan Miró Foundation (ES. 2016), Wilfredo Lam Museum (CU, 2016), and CA2M (ES, 2012) among others. Antolí obtained her MA in Performance and Sculpture at Royal College of Art in London in 2015, and from 2015 until 2017 she was a selected Member of Royal British Society of Sculptors (UK).

She has been awarded with the ENOA Opera Immersive Residence, supported by the Gulbenkian Foundation (Europe, 2023); the Ibero-American Patronage Award (Spain, 2022); and was a finalist for the S+T+ARTS Repairing the Present Prize (EU, 2022) and the VIII International Art Prize Marta García-Fajardo (Spain, 2021). She has also received notable national awards, including the Generaciones Art Prize (Madrid, Spain, 2016) and the MULTIVERSE Grant for Video Art Creation by BBVA Foundation (Spain, 2015). Other accolades include the DYCP Arts Council UK grant (UK, 2021), the Gasworks International Fellowship (UK-Colombia, 2015), and the Sotheby’s / Pilar Juncosa Art Prize (Spain, 2012). In 2020, the Valencian Government commissioned her to create a public sculpture in memory of the Covid-19 victims at the City of Arts and Science, Valencia, Spain.
