Andrea Marco Corvino

°1993, Bologna, Italy.
Lives and work in Bologna, Italy.

The artist, born and raised between Bologna and Johannesburg, has an interest in different cultural codes. Architecture and design, naturalistic elements and anthropological clichés retrieved from archives or travel come together in his work to develop sitespecific installations, with paintings and objects that invite the viewer to interact and immerse themselves in the dynamics of an exotic world. Through the use of different materials and mediums, such as ceramics, tapestry, neon, wall painting and functional found objects, his projects investigate the importance of using art as a popularizing cultural medium. The artist disarms the viewer with a convivial and playful atmosphere and uses a visual language that crosses cultural boundaries to develop conversations about multiculturalism, memory, and welcome.
